Woman Bathed With Acid By Ex-Lover In Delta

A woman named Paulina, from Kokori Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State has suffered an unbelievable amount of pain and anguish from the hands of her lover- Mr Difference Ogba.

Pauline’s face and body was disfigured when Ogba walked in her house on a faithful morning and bathed her with a bottle of acid. She has been left blind with one eye completely chopped off by the acid and the other blind but with chance to be restored.

Her two nostrils are also damaged with her skull grafted in efforts to save her.

Although reparations have been partially paid by way of punishing the perpetrator, as Ogba is now serving 10years in prison, Paulina will never recover her face and she continues to suffer excruciating emotional and psychological pains resulting from the attack. Paulina needs N10 Million for a corrective plastic surgery which will restore her face and body.

She is appealing to well meaning Nigerians to render financial assistance to her surgery which will also restore her dignity.

Although Ogba had an obsession with her, the feeling was unreciprocated.

She described how Ogba had been pestering her prior to the event but in her own words, she did not expect him to go to the length of pouring acid on her face as he did not drink, smoke or have mental problems. She gave the following haunting account of the day that changed her life forever: “On August 27, 2010, I fasted and went for our Wednesday prayers in my church (Church of God Mission).
I prayed to God to chase away Ogba completely from my life.” “I went to sleep early that evening as I had my plans for the next day. I wanted to go to the market and sell and, on return, cook and eat my choice soup (banga).

But very early in the morning, August 28 , at 5 a.m, I heard a sharp knock on my door and the voice of a woman I knew.

I was shocked because she resides in Egini. I was wondering how she came to Ekrokpe that early.”

“Immediately I opened the door, I was poured something (acid) on my head and face.

I shouted for help and fainted. I woke up two days later at UBTH to discover that Ogba was the one who knocked on the door and poured me acid.”
