The Federal Government said that it is encouraging intermediaries who have offered to persuade the boko haram terrorist group to release over two hundred school girls kidnapped in Chibok, Borno state in April this year.
president goodluck jonathan gave this indication while speaking in an interview with the Washington Times in Washington USA where he is attending an African Leaders Summit convened by US President Barrak Obama.
A statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr Doyin Okupe, says while appreciating the support of the international community in the ongoing rescue efforts of the Chibok girls, the President explained that Government considers the safety of the girls as very paramount hence the adoption of several methods in the operation.
